Coral Reef Case Studies
In recent years, many coral reef managers from around the globe have been working to apply the resilience principles to their management activities and incorporate them into the design of new MPAs and networks. Because it can be beneficial for those working to conserve coral reefs to learn about the work of others, we have included a sampling of case studies in this module.
These case studies represent different stages in the process and will be updated as new developments arise. It is important to recognize that the intent is not to represent these case studies as ‘success stories’; rather their purpose is to provide ideas and inspiration and facilitate networking between reef managers.
As the work on resilience progresses, we will share the management implications of new science here as well as continue to describe actual projects that are underway. Please contact us to share your progress and lessons learned.
